Bryan Maritz is a South African educator and researcher specializing in African snake ecology. His research program, conducted alongside graduate students, takes an organismal approach to understanding snake biology across multiple ecological scales. Current research focuses on feeding ecology, spatial ecology, community ecology, and the intersection between snake behavior and human-wildlife conflict.
