
Dr. Manjunatha Kini is an Emeritus Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences, National University of Singapore (NUS). He supervised more than 40 graduate students (38 PhD and 4 MSc) and 30 postdoctoral fellows. He conducts basic and applied research on venoms from animals and saliva of blood-feeding animals, on thrombosis and hemostasis. He identifies novel bioactive proteins from venoms or saliva, determines their modes of action, and designs potential drug-leads based on their structure. He was the Co-founder of ProScience Inc., Richmond, Virginia, USA and Founder and Chief Scientific Officer, ProTherapeutics Private Limited, Singapore. He has authored over 300 research publications.
